ARLINGTON, Va. and FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Federated Wireless and Element8 today released the first customer-reported field results for Adaptive Network Planner (ANP), Federated Wireless’ AI-powered network planning platform. In its first five weeks using ANP, Element8 raised its fixed wireless installation success rate across Texas and Oklahoma from 79 percent to more than 90 percent, cutting its RF-related failure rate by more than half. The comparison measures completed installations against failures caused by signal obstructions, excluding reschedules and customer restrictions.
With ANP, operators get an accurate assessment of each installation before they commit a crew. They can adjust equipment and placement, prepare technicians for the conditions they will encounter and make better-informed service commitments. Every avoided failed visit preserves technician time and field resources for connecting customers. Element8 is also using ANP to evaluate potential expansion sites in Oklahoma and Texas.
“ANP gives our field technicians a clear installation plan before dispatch and our customers an answer we can stand behind,” said Jacob Gilbert, Director of Field Operations at Element8. “We can anticipate obstacles and test alternatives while there is still time to change the plan. Our success rate went from 79 percent to more than 90 percent in five weeks. This has resulted in fewer surprises in the field and more confidence in the service we promise.”
“Applying AI directly to the physics of wireless networks lets operators know before they go and adapt before they commit,” said Iyad Tarazi, CEO of Federated Wireless. “Element8 is showing what that means in the field today, and this is just the beginning. ANP’s AI learns from live deployment data, so installation success rates will keep rising and the AI will keep sharpening how operators evaluate opportunities, deploy capital and scale their businesses. The same continuously improving intelligence that directs a technician’s next job can guide how a company expands, invests and competes.”
ANP is built on Federated Wireless’ Physical AI platform: AI that operates directly on real-world physics. It combines GPU-accelerated ray tracing and 3D models of terrain, buildings and foliage with equipment performance data and spectrum availability and interference data from Federated Wireless’ CBRS Spectrum Access System and 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination operations. For each address, ANP predicts the speeds an operator can deliver and the equipment placement needed to deliver them. Federated Wireless calibrates its models against field measurements and reports propagation predictions with more than 90 percent accuracy at drive-test equivalency, with simulation speeds 100 to 1,000 times faster than previous approaches.
Program details
Element8 began prequalifying addresses with ANP on September 14 and compared results with the previous five weeks. The comparison measures completed installations against failures caused by signal obstructions such as trees, terrain and structures, the outcomes ANP is built to predict. Reschedules and customer-driven changes are excluded.
The sharpest gains came in Texas, where Element8 deploys mostly in the 5.8 GHz band, a frequency highly sensitive to foliage and obstructions. There, the RF-related installation failure rate fell from 45 percent to zero during the five-week reporting period. The results built on a June test in which Element8 ran 10 previously failed installations through ANP, which flagged eight that the company’s existing planning tool had approved.
ANP is now in commercial use by 20 operators. For providers planning builds funded by the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, the platform helps qualify addresses, compare tower locations and evaluate deployment options before committing capital. ANP is available now to fixed wireless operators at federatedwireless.ai/products/anp/.
